Dude Theft Auto is a sandbox action game that drops you into a big, cartoonish open city and asks absolutely nothing of you except to have fun. There are no strict objectives pushing you forward; the entertainment comes from exploring, experimenting, and causing as much chaos as you feel like.

The city is packed with things to play with: sports cars, bikes, tanks, and even helicopters that can lift you up to the rooftops. Ragdoll physics keep every crash, explosion, and street scuffle silly rather than brutal.

How to Play Dude Theft Auto

You begin in a house in a quiet neighborhood and are free to wander from there. Walk the streets, hijack any vehicle you like, pick fights with passersby, or simply drive around and see what the map hides.

Earning and spending money

Small missions, mini-quests, and odd tasks are scattered around the city and pay out cash when completed. That money buys new vehicles, weapons, and gear, which in turn open up bigger and louder ways to cause trouble.

• WASD moves your character on foot and drives vehicles.
