About Ragdoll Playground

Ragdoll Playground is a 2D physics sandbox with no fixed goal or storyline. You spawn objects into open environments and experiment: build contraptions, test how items react under gravity, pressure, or explosions, and see what combinations do.

The physics engine is the star, producing realistic and often chaotic results. Be aware that the game includes violent, gory effects, so it is not suited to children or anyone who finds that content disturbing.

How to Play Ragdoll Playground

Start by choosing one of 13 maps, such as Abyss, Blocks, Small, Snow, or Tower, each with its own layout. Then open the menu, pick an object, click where you want it, and press Q to spawn it into the world.

Controls

  • Mouse: select items from the menu.
  • Arrow keys: move around the map.
  • E or Q: spawn objects.
  • Hold left mouse button: grab and drag objects.
  • F: activate an object.
  • A / D: rotate objects.
  • Right-click: delete; mouse wheel: resize.

Experimenting

  • Test the same setup on different maps to see how environments change the outcome.
  • Combine tools and objects to build chain reactions and machines.
  • There is no wrong way to play; the sandbox rewards curiosity.

Spawn a few objects, push them around, and see what happens. Most players start with simple experiments and end up building elaborate setups just to watch them unfold.
