About Retro Blaster
Retro Blaster is a love letter to the coin-hungry arcade shooters of the 1980s, rebuilt with modern polish. Your ship never stops moving and never stops firing, which turns every run into a high-speed dance of steering, boosting, and braking through walls of enemies and bullets.
The design is pure score chasing. Power-ups like spread shots, lasers, heat seekers, bombs, and shields drop during runs, and coins collected along the way unlock new ships with different speed, fire rate, and shield stats. Pixel-perfect retro visuals meet escalating bullet-hell intensity, and the leaderboard gives every extra second of survival a purpose.
How to Play Retro Blaster
Your ship flies and fires on its own. You control direction, boost, and brake, and staying alive is a full-time job.
Core Mechanics
- Constant motion: steer through gaps using boost and brake for tight spots.
- Automatic fire: focus entirely on positioning, not shooting.
- Grab power-ups to shift the odds when waves thicken.
Progression
- Collect coins during runs to unlock ships with unique attributes.
- Survive longer to climb the leaderboards.
Tips
- Brake is as valuable as boost; slowing down opens dodging windows.
- Route toward power-ups only when the path is safe.
- Learn enemy wave patterns; they repeat, and memory wins runs.
