About Mars Jump

Mars Jump sends an astronaut hopping across the surface of the red planet with nothing but a jetpack and limited fuel. The goal is to travel from platform to platform across the Martian landscape, and the low gravity makes every flight feel floaty, dramatic, and dangerous. Land too hard or at a bad angle and you crash on the spot.

The challenge is that lifting off is easy but landing is not. Every jump becomes a small puzzle of thrust, trajectory, and fuel management, and the satisfaction of a perfect soft landing never gets old.

How to Play Mars Jump

Your astronaut flies by firing the jetpack's thrusters. Gravity constantly pulls you downward, so you are always balancing upward thrust against forward momentum to arc onto the next platform.

Controls

  • Hold the Left arrow or A to fire the left thruster.
  • Hold the Right arrow or D to fire the right thruster.
  • Hold both keys together to slow your descent.

Fuel management

Every burst of thrust burns fuel, and running dry mid-flight means a crash. Short, controlled taps are far more efficient than holding a thruster down, so feather the controls and let gravity do part of the work.

Landing safely

The descent is where runs are won or lost. As you approach a platform, ease your fall with both thrusters and aim to touch down gently and level. Crashing respawns you at your last platform, so progress is never fully lost, but careful pilots will travel much farther before needing that safety net.
