About Age of War

Age of War is a legendary side-scrolling strategy game where two bases face each other across a battlefield and only one survives. You begin in the Stone Age with club-wielding cavemen, and as your army fights you earn the experience needed to evolve through entire eras of history, all the way to futuristic soldiers and super weapons.

The evolution mechanic is what gives the game its magic. Timing your leap to the next age can completely flip a losing battle, because modern units tear through primitive ones. Balancing defense, offense and evolution is the whole game.

How to Play Age of War

Spend gold to spawn units that march automatically toward the enemy base, and build turrets on your own base for defense. Killing enemies grants gold and experience; when the experience bar fills, you can evolve to the next age and unlock stronger units and defenses. Destroy the enemy base to win.

• Use the mouse to click unit icons, turret options and the evolve button

Strategy Tips

Do not evolve the moment you can; make sure you have gold saved, because new-age units cost more and a broke army loses fast. Keep at least one turret slot filled so enemy pushes do not reach your base. Save your special attack for moments when a large enemy wave is packed together, and match your unit mix to whatever the opponent is sending at you.
