Trap the Cat looks gentle but plays like a duel of wits. A cat sits at the center of a hexagonal grid, and every turn it steps one tile closer to freedom at the edge. Your only weapon is placing barriers on empty tiles, and the feline is very good at finding the shortest way out.

Each round starts with a few tiles already blocked, which gives you raw material to build a cage around. Misjudge the cat's path even once and it will slip through the gap you left, sending you back to the start.

How to Play Trap the Cat

Click or tap an empty hex tile to darken it and block the cat's movement. After every barrier you place, the cat moves one step toward the nearest edge, always choosing the shortest available route. You win by surrounding it completely so it has no legal move left.

Strategy Tips

• Study the pre-blocked tiles at the start and build your trap around them to save moves.
• Your first barrier matters most; placing it near the cat limits its options early.
• Block ahead of the cat's path rather than behind it, since it only moves forward toward the edge.
• Watch which direction it favors and close that side first, then tighten the ring.
